Information for Composers

I am always looking for good new pieces and arrangements. I am open to quality compositions in any style or format, but I am especially interested in pieces that use the baritone, bass, contrabass, subcontrabass, mezzo-soprano, and sopranino saxophones, the bass and contrabass clarinets, and wind synthesizer. I have many sound samples of these intruments located throughout this website, so please take some time to listen to some of them. I believe each of these to be marvelous instruments that have been neglected due to the fact that people simply don't realize what beauty and creativity they are capable of expressing (or that they even exist!) More and more players are discovering these instruments every year, however, and they need new music to play.

I have a wide range of stylistic interests and I am not afraid of tonality and/or audience-friendly music. My primary musical goal is to convince people how neat these instruments are. By the same token, however, I am interested in anything new, creative, and different- I enjoy taking an audience on a journey to somewhere they've never been.

I would very much like to explore more of the possibilities of electro-acoustic applications of the woodwind family- especially pieces for solo instrument (or chamber ensemble) and electronic tape (CD) or effects.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, if you have a piece for any of these instruments, or if you are interested in writing for me.

As mentioned above, there are sound samples of many instruments being played throughout the galleries in this website. In addition, here are pages dedicated to writing for some of the more unusual methods of woodwind playing.

...always exploring and seeking new things...
